Get Away From It All At An Impressive And Exclusive Vipp Hotel Shelter – Vipp, the Scandinavian brand most renowned for their MoMA-worthy trash cans and half-million-dollar tiny homes, is branching into the hospitality space with a pair of hotel suites designed to cater to those among us who prefer to vacation very away from the stressful crowd. The two suites, called the Vipp shelter and the Vipp loft, are designed to provide the comfort of a luxury hotel, without the trouble of all the other guests. Do you want to know their tagline? “As soon as you check in at the Vipp hotel, it’s fully booked.”
Vipp intends to be the traditional hotel model, but instead of booking out many rooms in one building, they prefer to offer single suites or rooms in a number of locations. The shelter and loft are their first two, with a third called the Chimney house in the works.
The Vipp shelter is in Lake Immeln in Sweden, and accommodates two guests, while the Vipp loft is in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has the maximum capacity for four guests. The two sophisticated spaces are wildly different, but are filled in with many of the same amenities.
The suites are each furnished with a bottle of champagne, and Aesop cosmetic products. The furnishing and fittings are largely designed by Vipp, through the loft space also owes some of its heritage to the David Thulstrup Studio, the interior design firm responsible for the look of cult restaurant Noma. Cotton bedding is from Aiayu, and the toweling is by Vipp. Neither space has room service or a restaurant, but both are equipped with exquisite Vipp-designed kitchens.
Take a look at some of their interiors and, of course, their bathroom decoration.
