Last year, the Internationally acclaimed London-based designer, Martin Brudnizki collaborated with Drummonds to create an exquisite collection of bathroom ware and accessories, especially taps and shower elements. Entitled Leawood is comprised by a series of pieces that are as practical as beautiful. Today, Luxury Bathrooms will uncover this incredible collaboration between Brudnizki and Drummonds.
Comprised of a floor standing bath and shower mixer as well as shower controls, wall mounted and deck mounted basin taps, this collection comes across as a functional yet ergonomic design. This contemporary group of bath products is best defined by its simplicity, curved shapes and timeless design.
In the Leawood Collection, the attention to detail that Brudnizki had in every single piece is astounding. For instance, The hallmark flattened end on the lever controls was derived from careful observation of how tools developed to comfortably fit the human hand and the forms were also specifically designed to make the most of the centuries-old ‘lost wax’ process which Drummonds has always used to manufacture its brassware.
Some of this collection’s most impressive products are without a doubt the extraordinary Wandle Skirted Bath Tub and the Double Ladybower Vanity Basin Suite, just to name a few.
As a whole, the designer’s contemporary approach to traditional design moulds went hand in hand with Drummonds’ handmade and classic bathroom style. The brand’s craftsmen worked in synch with Martin Brudnizki which allow them to create a strong and simple aesthetic for this collection.
