Today, Luxury Bathrooms will showcase an exceptional bathroom collection from Cotto, which was designed by the extremely talented Jacob Jensen, and becomes the perfect setting for minimalist bathrooms. This collection is the epitome of modern Scandinavian design and it was named and inspired after the Danish municipality, Skive. Now, our blog will explore the dynamic essence of this unique collection!
Skive is comprised of a wide variety of products, including a washbasin, a faucet, a toilet and a shower panel. According to Jacob Jensen Design, “[The] Skive collection embodies beautifully curated forms with naturally inspired colours and finishes rooted in modern Scandinavian lifestyle.“ the designer adds that “User-driven and functionally versatile, the Skive collection is conceptualised from the balance of contrasts between organised yet disorganised spaces, coldness and warmth; all pivotal characteristics of modern Scandinavian interiors.”
The washbasin features a white ceramic basin with sloped surfaces and thin ridges and also features a rectangular drain with thin grooves. Its design “follows the evolution of living spaces where operational areas are being enlarged and functionality is held in high regard.” The highly curated basin is complemented by a wooden tray and rests across the basin in order to allow one to store their personal bathroom accessories. The toilet is characterized by a geometric and minimalist style with a white ceramic finish and a black flush.
The shower panel is best described as an “ultra-modern, streamlined and monolithic piece”. It has a matte-black coating and a touchscreen controller that allows one to chose temperature and water flow.
