Laufen‘s incredible Madrid showroom features Patricia Urquiola signature Mediterranean touch and is full of inspirational design ideas for your inspiring bathroom design project. The Spanish designer incorporated her Midas touch to the luxury bathroom brand Madrid showroom and treated their incredible bathroom products as if they were unique artworks. In case you still didn’t have the opportunity to visit it, the Luxury Bathrooms team is going to present to you some interesting facts about the amazing bathroom inspiration source!
Located in a historic villa built in the early 1900s in the heart of the city, the luxurious space has been conceived as a platform where designers and architects can get experimental with the brand’s modern collections. The Spanish designer embraced her Mediterranean roots by imbuing clinical bathroom ceramics with a little warmth to the interior design.
According to the interior designer, “the idea was to create a space with multiple functionalities”. The Urquiola added hints of color to the original architectural surrounds by way of dark marble plinths, vibrant side tables, and tinted glass shutters.
Taking bathrooms out of their normal context, Urquiola reimagines Laufen’s products as sculpture, with a series of sinks mounted on the wall in a grid. To give that luxurious touch to the interior design, the Milan-based designer decided to add to every room a simple yet glamorous finishing touch that consists in a continuous black iron tube border, with gold corners for added elegance.
