The Peninsula Spa – New York City (USA)
Inspired by the incredible philosophy of ESPA, which adapts the best of ancient and modern therapies to create individualized treatments for each guest, the luxury spa of the Peninsula Hotel is the perfect escape of the city’s busy lifestyle. Champalimaud‘s design features a sophisticated expression of form through the use of fine materials is integral to the concepts of purity and balance. The interior design of the luxury spa is further enhanced with the rich presence of marble, warm woods, and supple plaster walls in cinnabar, amber, and charcoal tones.
The Gainsborough Spa – Bath (UK)
The City of Bath in the UK was considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, thanks to its historic architecture and healing thermal waters. The new 100-room Gainsborough Hotel is a conversion of a 19th Century Royal Hospital in the heart of the City and features unique, direct access to Bath’s thermal waters through three therapeutic pools. Inspired by the ancient mosaics, Champalomaud‘s luxurious Spa Village project remained faithful to the city’s Roman origins and bathing tradition.
La Prairie Spa – Los Angeles (USA)
The luxury design of this bespoke spa emphasizes intimacy and serenity in a 4,000-square-foot escape within the beautifully manicured grounds of the Hotel Bel-Air. Cool white marble flooring creates a base for warm grey cerused oak, marble-topped vanities, and custom millwork. Private outdoor spaces complete the indulgent spa experience within a lush garden.
