AD100 2023 DEBUT LIST: ALL THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION

AD100 2023 is out and the debut list will be our topic today. The AD100 program by Architectural Digest brings together the most creative individuals, studios, and collectives working in the fields of architecture, interior design, and decor. The design business never stops, and we are continually offered ground-breaking ideas with a distinct view on the world. We are introduced to new places, lifestyles, and means of self-expression every day, and the AD100 list is essential in helping us learn more about the most innovative professionals in the design industry.

1.Alexis Brown

Alexis Brown, who was born and raised in Washington, DC, graduated from Pratt with a master’s degree in interior design. After more than 10 years of employment with Peter Marino, Alexis Brown formally launched her own company in 2017 with a focus on residential projects. Alexis Brown makes an effort to include both great art and handcrafted, artisanal elements into each home to create a sophisticated style.

2. Hadley Wiggins

Having offices in both New York City and the North Fork of Long Island, Hadley Wiggins is a designer of both interiors and buildings. Her use of antiques in her designs demonstrates her belief that historical accuracy and authenticity are essential elements of value and beauty.

Because Hadley believes that our homes should reflect the things that uplift and inspire us and that the finished product should be a true reflection of the occupants and their way of life, each of her projects is distinctive.

3.Halard-Halard

Halard was born into the design world and studied architecture and furniture design in Paris. Because he was interested in both modern and contemporary art, he decided to work with renowned galleries that had offices in Paris. In order to work for some of the city’s finest architects and designers, Halard moved from Europe to New York in 2004. In 2010, he opened Halard – Halard Design, his own design studio.

4.Josh Greene

Josh Greene, who has over 18 years of experience in the industry, previously worked for eminent firms including MR Architecture + Décor, Ralph Lauren, Michael Smith, and Sawyer Berson before founding Josh Greene Design. He has won a spot on Architectural Digest’s Ones-to-Watch list as well as Elle Décor’s annual A-List of the greatest interior design firms.

Josh Greene Design, a New York-based company, uses a collaborative approach to design stylish rooms that blend functionality, refinement, warmth, and comfort. Using a fluid and open-minded design process along with an ever-expanding range of influences, Josh considers each project as an opportunity to create distinctive settings that are individualized to each client.

5. JP Demeyer & CO.

Jean-Philippe Demeyer, a Belgian designer and artist, finds inspiration in gardens, museums, fashion, and historic homes. Jean-Philippe Demeyer is well-known for his inventive, amusing, and colorful textile works, which are typically pieced together by patchwork. He runs his Bruges-based company alongside his two domestic and business partners, Frank Ver Elst and Jean-Paul Dewever.

Fringes, flowers, and eyeballs are his trademark features. A sunburst carpet for the Codimat Collection, accessories for Svenskt Tenn, a seating collection for Collett & Victor, and, new for 2023, a namesake fabric line and a website for personalized pillows all display his own taste.

6. Justina Blakeney

Since she began blogging in the late aughts, Justina Blakeney has been presenting her daring and diverse interpretation of beauty. Since the publication of Jungalow in 2014, Blakeney has worked with Opalhouse by Target, Loloi Rugs, Valdese Weavers, and Peking Handcraft on collections that give houses a subdued maximalist flair.

She has the freedom to follow her artistic visions, and the jungalow is a tangible expression of that. She asserted that pattern is the taste of design, color can make people happy, and good design enhances quality of life in concept after concept, room after room, and design after design.

7. Neal Beckstedt Studio

Neal, who spent his early years in a small Ohio town, established his eponymous business in New York City in 2010 after more than ten years of living and working there as an architect and designer. Neal’s first project was featured on the cover of New York Spaces, and Architectural Digest named him one to watch in 2012. Notable projects include a number of collaborations with eyewear designer Robert Marc and residences for fashion designer Derek Lam.

Neal Beckstedt Studio is a boutique architecture and interior design firm that offers comprehensive services to clients in both the residential and commercial sectors. This warm modernist distinctive look is produced by fusing vintage, contemporary, and custom pieces. For each project, the firm creates distinctly modern settings that are brimming with ease and comfort.

8. Rita Konig

Rita Konig Ltd. is an interior design company based in London that works on both commercial and residential projects. Since she began her business at the age of 17, her design philosophy has been based on her clients, and each home she builds is built on a thorough understanding of the particular brief.

She is certain that a room should be as useful as it is beautiful, therefore before beginning any project, she thinks about what the room will be used for. The business works with clients to create distinctive, friendly surroundings that transcend beyond fads.

9. SO-IL

By challenging the existing norm in complex structures of all kinds, SO-IL, a Brooklyn-based practice founded by the husband-and-wife team Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu, has paved the way for a new generation of architects.

They look into how creating environments and objects could encourage sustained, positive engagement with the mind and with society.

10. Studio Mellone

Andre Mellone, a Brazilian interior designer, resides in New York. He has previously worked for Robert A. M. Stern, Mark Hampton, Greg Jordan, Ferguson$Hamamian, and many other designers before establishing Studio Mellone in 2012.

The firm primarily focuses on private homes and dwellings while also establishing a complementing portfolio of projects for retail, business, and product design.

11. Young Huh

Detroit-born Young Huh attended the Cranbrook School and obtained an English degree from Smith College before obtaining a law degree from Fordham University. While seeking additional schooling and an internship in interior design, Young came to understand her true calling. In 2007, she established her own design company in New York City

A full-service design firm, Young Huh Design focuses on both residential and commercial interiors. Young Huh’s work aims to achieve harmony and dynamism by fusing conventional and cutting-edge design principles.
