At the Milan Furniture Fair, THG Paris introduced a brand new concept that still showcases the brand’s expertise and know-how when it comes to bathrooms. The main idea was to present appealing and charming combinations of carefully assorted objects in a highly welcoming and creative enviroment that perfectly represents THG Paris‘ à la française atmosphere. Now, let’s get to know more about the three featuring colletions: LES ONDES by Gilles & Boissier, SYSTEM by Arik Levy and MONTAIGNE by Stéphanie Coutas
LES ONDES
To create this collection, Patrick Gilles found his inspiration in the lamp revisited for the Baccarat Crystal manufacture. Its faceted crystal sides recall the perfect transparency of water.
The tap Les Ondes originates from this very creative process. It is made of a 10-faceted base on top of which sits a trident-shaped brace reminiscent of the attribute of Neptune, God of the Sea and the Ocean. This collection, both classical and modern, is a perfect fit for a timeless decoration suffused with French elegance.
SYSTEM
If the tap is the gem of the bathroom, Arik Levy does not want each gem to solely reflect his image, but rather to be customisable by its owner.
The creative idea of appropriation is part of the artist’s identity — “creation is an unruly muscle”. Like every other piece by Arik Levy, the System collection carries an inspiring message, which encourages each individual to choose their own tap collection by playing with materials and finishes.
For the first time, THG Paris is collaborating with an artist whose message transcends design.
MONTAIGNE
The Montaigne collection emerged from the idea of transformation. Transforming two raw materials, brass and a piece of marble, into a contemporary object of decoration and design.
Magnifying nature, finding beauty in an ordinary, utilitarian object, and infusing it with the codes of luxury à la Française cherished by Stéphanie Coutas and THG Paris. The Montaigne collection sheds light on a French marble enhanced by French artisans.
