When it comes to premium paints and stains for your home, Benjamin Moore has set the standard for excellence throughout the years. The famous company has just revealed its Color of the Year 2020 as a warm, rosy pink named First Light. This incredible hue is going to be one of the hottest design trends in the luxury bathroom world. Are you ready to be inspired?
From neutrals to effervescent colors, to perfect balance between warm and cold, the famous Benjamin Moore company has just presented the top color trends for 2020. However, there was one that surely stands out from the rest, since it was considered the Color of The Year for 2020.

It’s the company’s first time choosing a pink hue for Color of the Year and symbolizes an upbeat and hopeful start to the next ten years. First Light soft pink will make an ambiance full of cheerful, a place where you can actually relax and recharge the batteries for a daily basis. We can say that this soft color is a “timeless way to lighten up”.
“We’re always looking at years past and evolving. Last year’s Metropolitan was neutral and we did that on purpose. We said, let’s a step back, relax, and find comfort in our own homes. Once we’ve done that, we’re really ready for the next step. Now, let’s use color to express ourselves, be a little more upbeat, and happy,” explained Hannah Yeo, Color & Design Manager at Benjamin Moore & Co.
Hence the company‘s arrival at First Light as well as it’s Color Trends 2020 Palette, a spectrum comprised largely of pastels including jade-green, sky-blue and sunny Golden Straw, among others. The trend toward expressive, saturated colors signifies a departure from the more subdued Color of the Year 2019, the off-white Metropolitan, which Yeo says is intentional.
The soft pink color, considered as one of the trendiest colors for 2020 by Benjamin Moore & Co, is the perfect hue to create a unique ambiance in any home decor style. For example, as you can see in the picture, the soft pink tone was the star of this mid-century modern dressing room corner since it is the perfect background for the incredible Monocles Dressing table by Essential Home.

A striking addition to your glamorous boudoir, the Monocles dressing table has a mid-century feel and is constructed of solid walnut wood and offers three front drawers produced in gold plated brass. This retro dressing table is supported by atomic legs and features a set of 3 bullseye mirrors with a brass rim. The smaller ones rotate vertically, providing flexibility.
However, if you want to create an impressive background with different patterns or colors, soft pink tiles are the right choice for you, just make sure you incorporate a tile type in Benjamin Moore‘s Color Of The Year. For example, this bathroom design is all bout the eccentric geometrical design style. The inspiring backsplash and the geometric floors are the perfect combo to highlight Maison Valentina’s unique Newton Washbasin!
